Banana Mash for Worm Compost
What You Need:
-
1 ripe banana or 1–2 banana peels
-
A handful of shredded cardboard or coconut coir
-
Optional: A splash of water to soften if too dry
Instructions:
-
Mash the banana or blend with a splash of water to make a thick paste.
-
Mix in shredded cardboard to balance moisture and carbon-to-nitrogen ratio.
-
Let it sit for 12–24 hours to start microbial activity (optional).
-
Bury small amounts (1–2 tablespoons) into one corner of your worm bin.
-
Observe: Worms will gravitate toward it in a few days.
Note: Use sparingly—too much can create bad smells or attract pests.
